About TopsOJ
Welcome to TopsOJ — where competitive math meets innovation!
At TopsOJ, we believe that math is not just a subject, but a powerful tool that sharpens the mind, builds problem-solving skills, and fuels creativity. TopsOJ is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to make competitive math practice more accessible, engaging, and fun for everyone.
Problem Set
- AMC (American Mathematics Competitions): Practice with problems from the AMC series, designed to challenge middle and high school students with a wide range of mathematical concepts.
- AIME (American Invitational Mathematics Examination): Tackle more advanced problems from the AIME, which tests problem-solving abilities beyond the AMC level, leading towards the prestigious USA Math Olympiad.
- AHSME (American High School Mathematics Examination): Explore classic problems from the AHSME, the predecessor to the AMC 12, offering a glimpse into the history of mathematical competitions.
- AJHSME (American Junior High School Mathematics Examination): Start with the AJHSME, the predecessor to the AMC 8, where accessible problems build the fundamentals the later contests assume.
- Pascal, Cayley, Fermat: Work through problems from these Canadian math contests, each designed for different grade levels. Pascal is for Grade 9, Cayley for Grade 10, and Fermat for Grade 11 students, offering a progressive challenge.
- Problem of the Day: Stay sharp with a daily problem selected from various topics and difficulty levels. This category is perfect for maintaining a regular practice routine.
- Original Problems: Test your skills with unique and creative problems crafted by the TopsOJ team. These problems cover a wide range of topics and are designed to push your mathematical thinking to new levels.
Ratings & Rankings
At TopsOJ, we believe in recognizing and rewarding consistent performance in mathematical competitions. Our contest rating system allows participants to track their progress and see how they stack up against their peers over time.
- Dynamic Rating System: Each rated contest you participate in contributes to your overall rating. Ratings are updated in real-time, reflecting your latest performances.
- Skill-based Evaluation: Our rating algorithm is designed to measure your problem-solving skills accurately, taking into account the difficulty of the problems you solve and your consistency across contests.
- Points System: Each problem is worth a specific amount of points that accumulates to your total point score. There is also a leaderboard for points.
- Leaderboard: Compare your rating with others on the TopsOJ leaderboard.
Whether you're a beginner or an advanced competitor, the TopsOJ contest rating system offers a meaningful way to measure your progress and challenge yourself to reach new heights.
